As an experienced educator, Nikki has worked with children of all ages for over 20 years. Currently, she serves as the Head of Music at Twickenham School, was previously the Head Of Performing Arts at Charville Primary and is the Principal of Make Believe Twickenham. She takes great pride in her work with young people. Through her dedication and passion for music and performance, Nikki inspires her students daily, helping them build confidence and discover the joy of creative expression.
As a Cabaret Comedienne Nikki has toured as part of the two hander cabaret, GOBSMACKED! SHOWBIZ & DATING created with Jamie Burgess (Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival, Midsumma Festival, Auckland Pride Festival, NZ Fringe Festival and Dunedin Fringe Festival, nominated for Best Cabaret, NZ Fringe and Best Music and Cabaret for Dunedin Fringe).
Her Cabaret writer & performer credits include GO! A mini-disaster musical (Phoenix Downstairs), THE ATTACK OF THE 40 FOOT WEDGE, receiving the ATG award for the 2008/09 ‘Best Comedy Show’, 2009 Adelaide Fringe Awards nominee for ‘Best Cabaret’, and received a special commendation for ‘Excellence in Songwriting’, CABARET: ALIVE AND KICKING (‘Inspace Development’ and ‘Best Cabaret’ nominee, 2010 Adelaide Fringe Awards), CABARET ON THE COUCH, MY SIGNIFICANT OTHER IS A MOBILE PHONE, STICK IT TO THE MAN and I PUT OUT ON THE SECOND DATE. Nikki also co-wrote VIVA LA FRANGLAISE (Speigeltent, Adelaide, Short & Sweet Cabaret 2010 Finalist). Recently Nikki made the move to London and has performed at The Battersea Barge and The Pheasantry with her solo cabaret work and has been involved in the Book, Music and Lyrics workshop as a composer. She has writes and collaborates on music and lyrics for her Cabaret productions, she has written a short children's musical The Confusing Of The Guard, a soundtrack for a short film and is currently working on Gingerella, The Musical with Catherine Pybus.
Musical Theatre Credits include Australian regional and national tours of MOTHER, WIFE & THE COMPLICATED LIFE together with appearances in New York and workshop performance at the Wyndhams Theatre in London (Bec, Popjam Productions), CINDERELLA (Fairy G, KD Productions), MILK AND HONEY (Mrs Perlman, Magnormos Productions), INTO THE WOODS, (Little Red Riding Hood, Newtown Theatre), THE SEEDY ADVENTURES OF JOHNNY STEELE (Rita, Full Swing Productions).
Nikki trained at the Elder Conservatorium, graduating with a music degree majoring in theatre & vocal studies from the University of New South Wales.
An Educator prior to working in London, Nikki has been a senior tutor for The Australian Girls Choir, a singing teacher and Musical Theatre director in high schools throughout Australia. Nikki co-ordinates all classroom music and curriculum design, all performances for the school internally and externally and musically directs the musical each year.
Nikki has trained at Yale University as part of the International Cabaret Convention 2010 and gained tutelage in Kodaly method under Julia Pigdon, specialist in her field. She completed her level 1 & 2 Estill Training with Anne-Marie Speed in Berlin in 2014 and currently trains with the Jen Waldman Online Studio,
